I don’t know whether the brain increases or decreases by eating goat brain, but you will enjoy it if you eat Bheja fry.
Ingredients required for preparing Bheja fry:-
- Goat Brain – 2
- Clarified Butter / Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Onion – 1
- Tomato – 1
- Green Chilli – 1
- Garlic – 5
- Kashmiri Red Chilli – 1/2 tbsp
- Red Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp
- Hot Spices Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tbsp
- Cloves – 4
- Black Cardamom – 1
- Black Pepper – 4
- Green Cardamom – 2
- Cinnamon Stick – 1
Bheja fry recipe or Bheja masala recipe
To make this dish, the ingredients taken will be as follows:-
Here we have taken two goat brains. Apart from this, we have taken 1 tbsp clarified butter, one onion cut in small pieces, one tomato cut in small pieces, and 1 Green Chilli, which is optional to put in the dish.
Also, we have five garlic cut into small pieces. Next, we have 1/2 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilli which is only for giving color. We have 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder and 1/2 tsp Hot Spices Powder.
We will also use a pinch of 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste, 1 tsp Turmeric, 1/2 tbsp salt, Four cloves, One black cardamom, Four black pepper, Two green cardamoms, and one piece of cinnamon stick.
Using all these ingredients, we will cook the dish.
To cook goat brain curry, we have a goat brain that we have cleaned with water. All blood veins have been removed. It is very soft, so we will put in hot water to make it somewhat hard for 5 minutes.
We will also put turmeric in the bowl and add one cinnamon stick and boil for 5 minutes. Do it very slowly so that it doesn’t break.
Meanwhile, this is happening, heat the pan, and put one tbsp clarified butter in the pan. It is a straightforward recipe. Put one black cardamom, four cloves, four black pepper, and two green cardamoms.
We will heat them for a while for approx 1 minute. Keep the gas on full. Using a spoon, we will add chopped onions and make them light brown and not dark brown.
When these onions are light brown, add five garlic pieces. If you want to have, right spice, add it; otherwise, don’t. Add a single green chilli and also add tomatoes. Now keep the flame on low and heat it for a while.
Add a little bit of water. You can observe that in the brain in which we have added turmeric and cinnamon stick, impurities are removed, and it has tendered to almost 80%.
Cook it for 1-2 minutes and close the gas. By the side, you can see that our gravy is getting ready. Cook this for a while. When these onions, tomato, and garlic are well cooked, lower the flame.
Now add ginger garlic paste and also add Kashmiri red chilli for color. Add this red chilli powder 1 tbsp. We will use half of hot spices powder, so use only 1/2 tsp only.
Turmeric was already added to remove the impurities of the brain. To cook this, add a little bit of water and put the gas on full.
As you can see, the gravy is getting well; add a little bit of water. The more you cook, the better. As gas is on high flame, reduce the flame, and cover the lid for 2 minutes.
On the other side, the brain is now hard. Take them out very slowly. It is ready now, and remove the water. These have become solid now. Take out the remaining small pieces also and make small pieces.
After 2 minutes have elapsed, as you can observe, increase the flame and cook it properly on high flame and stir it well again and again, and the last ingredient is salt add it slowly.
It is getting slowly cooked. Now let us mesh this gravy so it is better cooked. After it is done, you can see that it has become smooth. Now let us add water and fry it again.
You will observe that this is the third time we are adding water. If you want, you can do it once or twice but keep in mind that it doesn’t burn. Let us make small pieces as it is very soft to cut.
Do not do tiny pieces and after this, put it on the plate. Do it slowly. It is very soft, perfect to be eaten in the cold season.
After two minutes have elapsed, the gravy must be well cooked. We have added water three times. The color of the Kashmiri red chilli is perfect. It depends on you on the amount of water to be added.
Now we will add 2 tbsp water and increase the flame. It is almost ready now. To the curry, add the brain pieces and boil them. Cover the lid for 1-2 minutes, and the dish will be ready.
Now cover the pieces with curry. Do it slowly and must not break it. It is a different recipe and also a very colorful recipe. After two minutes have elapsed, the gravy is well cooked, and also clarified butter has come on sides.
